Lots of news names have been added to Patrick Lussier’s upcoming 3-D remake of the 80’s “classic”, My Bloody Valentine, and I gotta say that, if nothing else, the cast isn’t looking too bad...

Though it sounds more like a psychosocial headfuck than solid horror, its still worth mentioning that Lionsgate has picked up the rights to Deal With the Devil, the Allias Entertainment comic written by Mike S. Miller according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Saw franchise still has a monumental amount of potential left in it, and we're hoping the addition of David Hackl at the helm of the upcoming sequel will spark its usage. Oh, and you need a good cast too.

Good old Lionsgate; their DVD division can always be counted on to provide us with a constant supply of low budget fright flicks. Today I decided to help spread the word about six of the more low profile Lionsgate straight-to-DVD horror offerings coming in the next three months, starting from June and working backwards. Good news: none of them are new movies from Ulli Lommel.

It’s been a while since we heard much from the After Dark camp regarding Frontier(s), the film that was originally going to be one of the 8 Films to Die For until they couldn’t bring in an R rating. Luckily, their silence was due to hard work on their side building promo materials for the film!

And the Saw casting news keeps rolling in. Who's the next person set to play in one of Jigsaw's game? Variety reports today that Dexter and Rambo star Julie Benz has just signed on for some blood splattered shenanigans!

Oh yes, there will be blood, and sequels, and traps, and confusion! The Saw franchise has long been one to leave the viewer with more questions than it does answers. Can Jigsaw succeed in carrying the torture torch for yet another three films (despite being dead) starting with Saw V? Lionsgate seems to think so, and since we're talking about a series that revels in surprise, it's impossible to write them off just yet!
