Now here's a remake I can get behind. Know why? Because of the folks bringing this retelling of the 1973 drive-in shocker to life: Alan Rowe Kelly (I'll Bury You Tomorrow) and Anthony G. Sumner (W.O.R.M.).

Gudino Announces Feature Length Debut!
After seeing Rodrigo Gudino’s first two shorts, “Demonology of Desire” and “The Eyes of Edward James”, and hearing about his next experimental pic “The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow”, I’ve been waiting for him to finally announce his feature directing debut for years now...

More Names Added to Valentine Redux
Lots of news names have been added to Patrick Lussier’s upcoming 3-D remake of the 80’s “classic”, My Bloody Valentine, and I gotta say that, if nothing else, the cast isn’t looking too bad...

Atkins Joins Bloody Valentine
Can I get a HELL YES? Despite what some may think about the need for a remake of My Bloody Valentine, especially one in 3-D, it just added one helluva cool name to the cast list that has moved it up significantly on my “must see” list.

Antibodies Remake Writer Named
I didn’t even know the German film Antibodies (DVD review) was on the remake block, or if I did the knowledge was pushed out of my brain, likely being filled in by all the other remake news we do on a weekly basis.

Creature From the Black Lagoon Update!
Though I guess it’s good to know things are moving along for the Creature From the Black Lagoon remake, which has been in various stages of pre-production for three years now, I can’t help but keep thinking about the Creature script I reviewed a while back and doing nothing but dreading it.

Hansen in the Friday the 13th Body Count
Over the past month or so, we've seen a number of young, beautiful people being picked up to populate Camp Crystal Lake. While some argue that this isn't doing any favors to the series, I beg to differ. If we look back through the years, can you honestly say that the F13 franchise has been so much more than just pretty people getting hacked up? Bring it on! Let's see the new generation take on Jason, why not?

New It's Alive! Trailer
It looks way more polished than I would have thought, but then with names like Bijou Phillips attached, I guess low-budget slaughter isn’t really on the plate. Below you can see the Cannes promo trailer for the remake of It’s Alive!, in which Phillips stars as a new mother whose infant has a pesky habit of killing when it’s scared.

Viral Quarantine
Ah, viral marketing, the bane of Internet journalists’ existences. Some of this stuff is so damn obscure; it’s hard to follow the connection to the actual film it’s supposed to relate to (see anything regarding Cloverfield for examples).

Quarantine Gets Viral
October 17th may seem like a long time away, but at least John Dowdle's remake of REC (review), titled Quarantine is revving its engine with some viral marketing (“Diary and Quarantine Release Dates!” – November 2007).
YouTube video blogger named Eric has released an interesting video shot outside a building that has been roped off. Check it out below.
