Aliens Takes the Fight to the Farmers

Fox continues to show they have no love for the fans, just as long as they can make a quick buck.

Rather than listen to the criticism and start from scratch, the studio has decided to make Alien vs Predator 2 as a direct sequel to Paul Anderson’s collossal misfire, with “screenwriter” Shane Solerno returning.

Arrow in the Head has reported that the official Fox website has posted the synopsis, which coincides with the recent Ain’t It Cool News script review involving a Predator and several Aliens fighting it out in a modern-day Texas K-Mart (no joke). So much for series continuity. Here’s what they have;

Alien Vs. Predator: Survival of the Fittest
Directors: Greg Strause & Colin Strause
Writer: Shane Salerno
In this follow-up to the worldwide hit Alien Vs. Predator, the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage war in an American Midwestern town – with the residents caught in the middle.

Sounds even worse than the first. AVP2 will be inflicted on audiences in August of 2007.
