DiCaprio Behind Another Twilight Zone
Leonardo DiCaprio seems to have a soft spot in his heart for “The Twilight Zone”, citing it as one of his favorite shows, so together with Warner Bros. and his own production company, Appian Way, Leo is looking for material to put a brand-new feature together.
THR reports that, instead of doing an anthology movie like the first Twilight Zone film, DiCaprio is interested in building one continuous storyline based on one or more classic “TZ” episodes. Not a bad idea at all, actually; should be interesting to see what comes of it.
Word has been put out quietly amongst those in Hollywood who may be interested in making something like this happen. Ideally if he could get some good genre names involved, this could be a very effective way to help us forget about the atrocious “TZ” re-boots that have come along over the years.

Wow, some news that’s not coming out of Comic Con directly. Very strange to report. But that’s what Variety is good for. They got word this morning that Legendary Pictures has come on board the production of the Gears of War to co-finance the project.

I'd like to see a modern take on "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street", one of my favorite TZ episodes.

Nice to see El DiCaprio emerging from his Polar-bear defender arse (did anyone else get THAT letter 'from him'), to do something more worthwhile with his time...
Let's just hope this project does not evolve into a series of remakes!!!
