Heading out to Texas for the upcoming South by Southwest film festival? It runs the week before our own Fear Fest goes down (March 9-17 to be specific). It’s a good idea to do so because there will be a lot of good horror on display this year.
Included in the ‘Round Midnight lineup for the festival are Jonathan King’s Black Sheep, making its US premiere, the Rider (Cabin Fever) Strong starrer Borderland, the North American premiere of Martin (The Hills Have Eyes 2) Weisz’s Grimm Love, the were-rat movie Mulberry Street, Chris Smith’s horror/comedy Severance, the highly anticipated The Signal, the Moreau Brothers’ Ils (aka Them, review) and the zomcom western Undead or Alive: A Zombeby (look for our interview with director Glasgow Phillips later this week!).
Not a bad lineup at all, eh? Plenty of reasons to stay up late every night despite the rumors of Austin’s kicking nightlife. Besides, most real parties don’t get going till after 2am anyway, right? Check out the official site for South by Southwest for all the program info!
