With Ouija hoping to spell out B-O-X O-F-F-I-C-E H-I-T this weekend, some of the people behind the film had their own spooky shenanigans going on, which we detail for you right here along with some videos. Dig it!
Fullscreen’s Kian Lawley, member of the vlogging supergroup O2L, went missing for a week after shooting a video of himself, Ricky Dillon, Jc Caylen, and other friends playing with a Ouija board.
On October 5th a mysterious “found footage” video was posted to Kian’s YouTube channel showing him suddenly being dragged through a doorway and disappearing.
Throughout this period, Kian, who is typically very active across all of his social media platforms, went completely silent until October 9th, when he tweeted “Hi Frend… #Ouija.”
After holding a seance six days after Kian disappeared, the Ouija board informed Jc and Ricky that Kian was in Chicago.
Together the two tracked Kian down at a haunted house, where the boys were reunited for a spook-filled evening with 600+ fans.
Bianco Santos (“The Fosters”), Erin Moriarty (“Red Widow”), newcomer Ana Coto, Paranormal Activity 2 actress Vivis Colombetti, Olivia Cooke (“Bates Motel”), Douglas Smith, Daren Kagasoff, and Matthew Settle star in Ouija, which is produced by Platinum Dunes, Blumhouse Productions, and Hasbro.
Stiles White is in the director’s chair, working from a script he wrote with Juliet Snowden. The film debuts on October 24th.
