The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev Is Crossing Over to The Originals

The Originals Season 2

The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev to Crossover on The OriginalsJulie Plec, exec producer of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals,” is always being asked about potential crossovers of the two shows, and usually she’s pretty coy about it, but today she surprised us all by confirming that one is happening in Episode 2.05 of the latter!

Most surprising of all is which actor and character is involved. It’s Nina Dobrev, who’ll be portraying yet another doppelganger… and it’s one we haven’t officially met yet.

As Plec told E! Online, “There’s a lot of people that could cross over, and when we plan our crossovers, we like to think of the most clever way to integrate ‘The Vampire Diaries’ mythology into ‘The Originals mythology. There was a character’s name introduced a long time ago in [‘TVD’] Season Three in association with Klaus [Joseph Morgan] and Elijah [Daniel Gillies] and how they became vampires and a girl that they both loved a long time ago who was the original doppelganger, Tatia. So Nina Dobrev will be visiting ‘The Originals’ for a nice little storyline in our fifth episode, which airs November 3.”

She added, “What we remember from ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ for those who watch both shows, is that [Klaus and Elijah] both loved her… And then Esther [Alice Evans], their mother, killed her so that she could make Klaus not a hybrid. There’s lots of secrets and scandal and romance and terrible tragedy attached to her character. We’ll get to go back into the past to see how that all played out.”

“The Originals” returns to The CW on Monday, October 6th.  For more info visit “The Originals” on CWTV.com, “like” “The Originals” on Facebook, and follow “The Originals” on Twitter.

Check Out Episode 1 of the New VR/360 App Narrative Series Find Me

Published

on

Let me get this out of the way right off the top. I’m not really into the whole VR/360 experience. I’ve tried it out and it’s cool and all, but I’m not sold just yet.

That said, if you are into such games/experiences, you might want to check out “Find Me”.

The mobile app is a 360/VR narrative series from BlackBoxTV, James McFadden, Eric Jacks & Collab, as well as #YouTubeSpaceLA and The Los Angeles Times.

Each episode features visual codes and puzzles for you to solve, unlocking additional content and information available only in the app. That is until IRL gameplay begins in Los Angeles on December 25th and the app becomes your key to unlock locations in the real world.

“Find Me” will have one winner with a one-of-a-kind prize for the person who “finds” and frees the main protagonist Julia Zamora (played by Madison Lawlor) via the app.

Again, I’m not into these VR/360 apps but if you are – or want to try one out – I highly suggest taking on “Find Me”.

You can watch “Find Me – Episode 1” below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on social media!

Get the “Find Me” App for iOS HERE and Android HERE.

New Trailer Arrives for Overkill’s The Walking Dead Video Game

Published

on

Over two years after it was announced, we’ve finally been given our first good look at Overkill’s Walking Dead video game in the form of a series of new videos posted on the company’s YouTube channel.

The first video introduces Aiden, one of the playable survivors, and confirms that the game will be set in Washington D.C. No gameplay is shown, but it still serves as a pretty decent intro for yet another story in the Walking Dead universe.

Following on from the trailer above, Overkill also released a video introducing the team working on the game, in addition to an extended 28 minute interview with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will be a four player co-op action FPS in which you’ll have to fight crazed fellow survivors in addition to zombies. There will be four playable survivors in total, each with their own unique upgradable abilities.

Starbreeze Studios will publish the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime next year. Keep an eye on Overkill’s YouTube channel for more updates in the meantime.
