Luciano Onetti’s Giallo homage Sonno Profondo is arriving on Limited Edition DVD August 26th (with a September 27rd VHS release to follow), and we have the first five minutes of the film for you to check out right here!
Sonno Profondo (Deep Sleep) is a critically acclaimed, award-winning film that brings Giallo back using some of the best 70’s horror style filmmaking and design. It’s being released by BrinkVision.
If you’re old school and eying the VHS, note that it will be strictly limited to 200 copies on a red VHS collector’s tape and will include some great vintage extras.
The film, which was written, directed, and edited by Luciano Onetti, stars Daiana García, Silvia Duhalde, and Onetti himself. Onetti also served as its cinematographer and composer.
Synopsis:
After murdering a woman, a killer who is traumatized from his childhood memories gets a mysterious envelope slipped under his door. The hunter becomes the prey when he finds out that the envelope contains photos that show him killing the young woman.
