San Diego Comic-Con 2012: Day 4 (July 15) Schedule Now Live; Heinlein Blood Drive InfoComic-Con Sundays are typically light on horror, and this year is no exception although once again our favorite panel, "Supernatural", is heading to Hall H. Here are the genre highlights as well as info on the 36th annual Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive.

One thing we can't stress enough is to keep checking the SDCC website for updates as nothing's set in stone until the event actually starts happening.

10:00-11:00 Emily the Strange— Be a part of the Emily the Strange panel experience, where you have the chance to prove your knowledge of Strange and win prizes, learn what's new in Emily's oddball universe (including a sneak peek at the new Emily and the Strangers comic book series), and Q&A with Emily's creator Rob Reger, artist Buzz Parker, and writer Jessica Gruner. So wrap your towel around your head to ward off noxious fumes, and join in for an irreverent hour celebrating sly wit and unholy humor with some of the most devilish quipsters, wisecrackers, and satirists writing today. Warning: you will snicker. And you may just laugh out loud. John Scalzi (Redshirts) plays ringmaster to panelists Richard Kadrey (Devil Said Bang), Doyce Testerman (Hidden Things), Rob Reid (Year Zero), Ned Vizzini (The Other Normals), Gini Koch (Alien Diplomacy), Nathan Long (Jane Carver of Waar), and Nick Hurwitch (co-author of So You Created a Wormhole). Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive:
Comic-Con's Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive returns for its 36th big year in 2012. Our blood drive is San Diego Blood Bank's longest-running event and last year collected 1,269 pints of blood over the four-day convention.

The growth of our blood drive over the years has been phenomenal. The Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive began at San Diego Comic-Con back in 1977. That first year 148 pints of blood were collected, and as the convention has grown, so has our blood drive. Over the past 35 years we've collected 11,075 pints of blood from Comic-Con attendees!

You can be a part of this year's Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive. The Blood Drive is open from 9:00 am-6:00 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 10:00 am-3:00 pm on Sunday. The Blood Drive is located at the Omni San Diego Hotel's Gallery at 628 L Street, across the street from the hotel (which is opposite the Convention Center), but if you're registering onsite at Comic-Con, please go to the Blood Drive booth near the Freebie Table in the Sails Pavilion, upstairs at the Convention Center.

In addition to receiving a goodie bag, HBO's True Blood will be providing t-shirts, Blood Drop stress balls, bandages and water for participants. People who give blood are also entered into daily drawings for prizes, which are donated by Comic-Con exhibitors. Winners are posted at the Blood Drive booth at 6:30 pm each day (3:30 pm on Sunday) in the Sails Pavilion.

Click here to schedule an appointment, or sign up onsite at the Blood Drive booth (upstairs in the Sails Pavilion near the Freebie Table). It only takes about 45 minutes of your Comic-Con day to save a life or two!
