SXSW 2012: Robert Rodriguez Offers Update on Sin City 2

More talk of Sin City 2 has come out of Austin's SXSW Film Festival, and it looks like the project is closer than ever to actually happening. Read on for the latest.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Rodriguez stated that in addition to Machete 2 starting production in April, Sin City 2 is likely to begin production over the summer. In terms of casting Rodriguez is keeping tight-lipped although he was willing to indicate that discussions with potential stars of both projects will be of the same caliber and eclecticism as the first films, which featured Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Josh Hartnett, Don Johnson, and Steven Seagal.
