Joe Lynch's Everly Gets Picked Up Internationally
With a killer leading lady and a looney director, how could anyone possibly resist the allure of Everly? We know one thing for sure... internationally they can't!
According to Variety, marking the second major deal of the European Film Market, Alliance Films has snapped up U.K. and Canadian rights to Kate Hudson vehicle Everly.
The film, which is produced by Adam Ripp and Rob Paris' Crime Scene Pictures, also sold to Splendid for Germany, Switzerland, and Benelux for just north of $1 million.
Nick Meyer's Sierra/Affinity has been shopping the $10 million actioner, helmed by Joe Lynch, to buyers at the fest, which sees Hudson star as a down-on-her-luck woman, stuck in her apartment, fending off waves of assassins sent by her ex, a dangerous mob boss.
The story is based on a concept created by Lynch (Knights of Badassdom), and Yale Hannon penned the script, which was featured on the Hollywood Black List.
