The Hunger Games: New Trailer, New Still, and IMAX News!
For fans of The Hunger Games today must feel like Christmas. Along with the debut of the second trailer for the film, we have a new still and information on its limited one-week engagement in IMAX theatres.
The still comes to us from Rolling Stone. Man, it looks like everybody is jumping on this bandwagon!

IMAX Corporation and Lionsgate have announced that Lionsgate's The Hunger Games, the first installment of the trilogy based on Suzanne Collins' bestselling novels, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® format and released in IMAX® digital theatres in North America day-and-date on Friday, March 23, 2012. The film will have a limited one week engagement in IMAX theatres.
Written and directed by Gary Ross and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik, The Hunger Games: The IMAX Experience stars Academy-award®-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Suzanne Collins' best-selling novels have already developed a massive global following, with more than 23.5 million print copies in the United States alone.

Set in post-apocalyptic America, the movie will introduce heroine Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence), a self-sufficient 16-year-old who lives in District 12, one of the poorer districts in the nation of Panem, what used to be known as North America before its utter destruction several years earlier. Katniss becomes a participant in the Hunger Games, an annual televised tournament where one boy and one girl from each of the nation's twelve districts must fight to the death until only one competitor, or "tribute," is left standing.
