Nicolas Cage to Go Nuts on a Dark Highway?
Let us be clear ... any film in which Nicolas Cage goes crazy in any capacity whatsoever is one that we are all over. If lunacy were fuel, this man could launch a rocketship to Mars. That's why we're especially happy to hear about what could be his new flick, Dark Highway.
According to the Chronicle Herald, Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider, Season of the Witch, Wicker Man) is close to landing the lead role in Dark Highway, Bruce McDonald's follow-up genre film to the glorious Pontypool.
"Now it's all about timing and everybody's schedule," McDonald says of when shooting might begin.
The film is described as a supernatural thriller, and the "story follows a man being chased who is trying to get to a certain place in one day. He doesn't know whether the situation is real or his imagination."
Dark Highway was written by Christopher Kyle (Alexander, K19: The Widowmaker) and will be produced as a joint venture between Palomar Pictures and Foundation Features.
