Two More Titles Named to Mile High Horror Film Festival Line-Up
Just yesterday we gave you the names of the first feature film (Midnight Son) and first short (The Legend of Beaver Dam) announced to be part of Denver's Mile High Horror Film Festival schedule. And now, just one day later, the good people at MHHFF have given us the titles of two more films they will be screening. And you won't be disappointed.
For the first announcement, how about a Sundance Film Festival selection written by Jack Ketchum and directed by Lucky McKee? Those names do anything for you? I'm impressed. Carrying a pedigree into the mountains, The Woman will be making its Colorado debut at MHHFF.
The next film is a short that was screened at South by Southwest (SXSW) earlier this year. Directed by Rafael De Leon, Jr., Waffle is hoping for the same response in Denver it received in Texas.

From The Woman Press Release
The Mile High Horror Film Festival is proud to announce the inclusion of The Woman in this year’s lineup. This 2011 Sundance Film Festival selection is directed by Lucky McKee and written by award-winning horror author Jack Ketchum. Both McKee and Ketchum are known for their unflinching visions of the horror genre and their latest offering promises to be no exception.
The Woman will be released theatrically in select cities through Bloody Disgusting Selects and AMC beginning on October 14th. This will be the Colorado premiere for the film, giving fans a chance to see it before its theatrical release.
Family man and lawyer Christoper Cleek (Sean Bridgers) must do what he can to protect his family when he comes into contact with a feral woman (Pollyana McIntosh) living in the woods near his isolated country home. Through a series of harrowing encounters Cleek and his family quickly discover there is more to this woman than anyone would suspect and that sometimes the devil wears a handsome face.
