Mankind Finds Aliens During a Journey Into Darkness
Unless one of those little green buggers decides to land on the lawn of the White House at 12 noon in front of an audience of millions, the existence of aliens will continue to be debated long after we're all gone. Still, they make great movie fodder, no?
According to Bloody Disgusting a new indie horror from Radar Pictures and Arclight entitled Into Darkness (aka Heart of Darkness 2388) is to be directed by The Haunting in Connecticut's Peter Cornwell.
Penned by Tony Gilio and Branden R. Morgan, the film is a sci-fi adaptation of a classic novella where the captain of an interstellar vessel is sent to investigate the disappearance of a famous explorer in search of a potential habitable planet. He is forced to reevaluate his orders after finding the explorer, who is trying to protect an alien race from the violence of humanity.
Shooting begins next year in Australia. More as it comes.
