Lionsgate Scores a Head Shot! Director Nearly Found for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
You want to talk about a long journey to find a director? Look no further than the quest for Lionsgate's big screen adaption of Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It looks as if the roller coaster is finally slowing down and reaching its intended destination.
According to Deadline Fright Night remake director Craig Gillespie will soon be set as director of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, based on the living dead enhanced take on the Jane Austen classic. Proof positive that adding zombies to anything already makes it better.
The novel mixes Jane Austen's 1813 classic novel Pride and Prejudice centering on Elizabeth Bennet's quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a virus that turns the dead into zombies. The story's set in an alternate version of 19th Century England that features deadly ancestors roaming the countryside.
