After Dark Originals: The Entin Brothers Talk Seconds Apart! Exclusive New Image!
Twin brothers Gary and Edmund Entin dropped DC a quick line about their wicked roles in the After Dark Original Seconds Apart. Read on for the synopsis and the twins’ dual thoughts along with an exclusive new image from the flick!
Seth and Jonah are murderous twins who share an evil kinship. Damned from the moment of their births, the brothers possess a talent for telekinesis – a power they are suspected of misusing in the most horrific ways imaginable. As fellow students meet gory fates, a local investigator suspects the twins are connected to these gruesome murders, culminating in one final showdown of brother against brother, evil against evil.
Says Producer Solomon, “Everyone’s heard about that creepy ‘twin thing.’” You just can’t under-estimate the power of twins, and this film is seasoned by the exceptional performances of Gary and Edmund Entin”.
Chris Haberman: What attracted you to the roles?
Entin Brothers: From the second we read the script we knew these were roles we had to play. Seth and Jonah are intense and emotional. They're fully realized human beings. That's what makes them so exciting. You never see three-dimensional characters like this in a horror film. And when you do, they're usually not the characters murdering people.
CH: Have you previously acted together?
EB: We have done a number of films together: The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising, Rest Stop 1&2, and The New Daughter. We have also acted separately of each other, but it is never more fun than when we get to do it together. We thought about becoming professional wrestlers for a while, but our mother informed us that ‘Jewish boys can't be wrestlers.’
CH: Where did you film, and how did the shoot go? Any fun set stories?
EB: We shot this film in New Orleans. It's quickly became one of our favorite cities in the world. There are plenty of awesome New Orleans stories. We were on location when the Saints got in the Super Bowl, when they won the Super Bowl, and Mardi Gras. I think we shot a movie sometime in-between the real madness.
CH: How much truth was in your performance of brothers getting "cranky" with each other?
EB: There is a lot of truth there for sure. We have had some crazy intense fights. When we were kids, we'd really go at it. Gary usually won, but that's because he used to be thirty pounds heavier. Now we weigh the same, and we're too grown up to fist fight. You'll have to watch the film to see us go at it now.
