Kevin Alejandro Teases Jesus' Role in True Blood Season Four
For a while working "two days on 'Southland', two days on 'True Blood', and going back and forth between the two shows" was working out all right for actor Kevin Alejandro, but finally something had to give, and now he'll be devoting himself full-time to "True Blood" Season Four, aka the Season of the Witches.
In a chat with TVLine following Alejandro's final appearance on "Southland", which was rescued from cancellation by TNT after "True Blood" had already tapped the actor to portray Jesus, he explains that "I’m there [at HBO] all the time now. It would have been complicated [to stay at 'Southland']."
As for what Jesus, a Latino orderly who is taking care of Ruby Jean Reynolds (Alfre Woodard) at her care facility and becomes involved with her son, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), will be up to in future episodes, Alejandro teased, "All I can tell you — because they’re really tight-lipped over there — is that Lafayette and Jesus are both there, and you’ll see a lot of us. You will definitely get to know Jesus better — and he’s a pretty likable guy. There definitely will be more interaction between Jesus and other characters this season, too."
