Gale Anne Hurd Talks the Terminator and a Possible Return to the Franchise
For those of you in need of a history lesson, "The Walking Dead" producer Gale Anne Hurd also helped to create one of the single greatest apocalyptic movie universes with The Terminator, a franchise which over the years has gone from great to kind of okay to complete shit. Recently Hurd got to sound off about the series' history.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly she dropped the following on fans.
"It’s very sad,” says Hurd of the direction in which The Terminator franchise has gone. “You feel like you gave birth to something and it’s been adopted and those adoptions haven’t worked out. Of course I’d be interested in doing another one. I’d love it.”
Unfortunately loving to do another is a far cry from actually doing one, and with all the money and egos floating around, who knows if it will ever actually happen. Still, if Hollywood is interested in returning the franchise to its former glory, having Hurd aboard to steer the ship could only serve to help it.
