ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 Production Blog: Week Two - Official Cast List and Synopsis Revealed!

Week Two of shooting ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 was one of the more interesting times on set. Insane amounts of blood, new faces, and watching a very dedicated cast and crew come together to make the impossible possible have demonstrated everyone’s dedication to bringing horror fans a new installment in the Laid to Rest franchise.

Late in Week One we lost cast member Michael Biehn, who had to depart to film another production in Tunisia, but that meant we got to welcome the awesome Owain Yeoman as our new Detective King. I used to be a huge fan of Fox’s “Kitchen Confidential” so was pretty psyched he was able to join the team.

Which brings me to some new info I can finally reveal. We’ve been doing our best to keep a lot of stuff under wraps, but we’ve gotten our official cast list and synopsis finalized, which I am happy to share with you fiends now.

Directed by Robert Hall and produced by Chang Tseng, ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 stars Brian Austin Green ("90210", "The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), Owain Yeoman (Troy, "The Mentalist"), Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010, "The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), Mimi Michaels ("Savage County", Boogeyman 3), Nick Principe (Hatchet 2, Madison County), Danielle Harris (Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Hatchet 2), Gail O’Grady ("NYPD Blue"), Chris Nelson (Kill Bill), Brett Wagner (The Crazies), and Aimee Lynn Chadwick (Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis).

I think it’s safe to say that the bar Rob set with his original Laid to Rest has really been raised. Not to take anything away from the performances in the original (yes, I was a fan before I got my job with Rob), but everything about the sequel seems to feel bigger, and most of that comes from the performances. Fans will be utterly shocked at Green’s performance, mark my words.

So, what’s Green’s role, and what can fans expect? Well, check out the official synopsis below, and dig on two exclusive stills featuring Green, Yeoman, Michaels and Nelson in action.

Official Synopsis:
ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 picks up three months after we last left ChromeSkull (Principe) at the end of the original Laid to Rest. Tommy (Dekker), who’s struggling to come to terms with his encounter with the masked killer, has now gone missing courtesy of the maniacal Preston (Green), a mysterious player in the sequel with a sinister connection to ChromeSkull. Meanwhile, our killer has set his sights on a new girl, Jess (Michaels), and after the young girl disappears, Detective King (Yeoman) must race against the clock to find her and Tommy before it’s too late and try to put an end to ChromeSkull’s deadly legacy.

Sounds like a plot to Saw. Lame.

We've had our disagreements over this film, but I have to agree with you; it does sound like a Saw movie. Not sure how to feel about that.
