New Director and Cast Visit Downers Grove

Back in 2010 we told you that Hayden Panettiere, Nikki Reed, and Rebecca De Mornay were all officially attached to a new flick to be directed by Nelson McCormick that written by Bret Easton Ellis for Myriad Pictures. It was called Downers Grove. Years have passed. Things have changed.
Variety reports that Derek Martini is now at the helm of The Curse of Downer’s Grove with a new cast attached including Aimee Teegarden, Kevin Zegers, and Lucas Till.
Filming is set to begin this month in Los Angeles.
The story, based upon the book Downers Grove by Michael Hornberg, revolves around a “curse” at the high school in the Chicago suburb of Downer’s Grove. Every year one senior dies a bizarre death before the end of the school year. Christie Swanson is paranoid that this year the victim will be her.
