Uwe Boll Chubby Chasing Evil With Blubberella
The last time Uwe Boll tried his hand at making a comedy, it was the controversial Postal. Some heralded the film a hilarious comedic romp and Boll's best film to date. Let's see how they feel about Blubberella, Boll's new horror comedy about an obese superheroine battling the forces of evil.
You can accuse Uwe Boll of many things, but a slacker he is not. His Billy Zane drama about the atrocities being committed in Darfur hits DVD shelves today, a biopic on the life of famed German boxer Max Schmeling is awaiting release, and he has a third BloodRayne film finally set in Nazi Germany like the original video game due next year. And, since he had the sets and costumes on hand, he's moved full speed ahead into what will undoubtedly be a very controversial movie graphically depicting the Holocaust horrors committed at Auschwitz. Now, via the American Film Market announcement, comes word of a lighter offering from Boll, at least lighter in the sense of tone: his horror comedy Blubberella.
The first female fat superhero ...
She will kick major ass - with her major ass ...
All the BLOODRAYNE fans will love that movie!
That's all we have to go on for the time being. I, for one, cannot wait to see the trailer for Blubberella.
Lindsay Hollister (who had a small role in Postal) stars as the overweight heroine. Clint Howard and Michael Pare co-star. Uwe Boll himself is listed as having an acting role in the film. I presume he works for scale.

Boll has slowly turned into a REAL subversive filmmaker (especially with Rampage) and I love this idea. Color me excited!

After Dungeon Siege, Boll has been improving. He's been turning out pure genius (Postal) to pretty solid (Tunnel Rats, Rampage, Final Storm). I'm looking forward to this, he showed great comedic timing with 'Postal' so I hope that carries over to this.

Only the most infantile simple minded people would find this the least bit amusing.

..and that's the demographic Boll seems to aim for...

And I've been proven right in this news item as his audience is clearly present.

No I really don't. I don't see how watching a movie exploiting an obese person for the retarded to laugh at would make me feel like a higher class individual.

Postal was fantastic, Rampage was pretty damn decent, but this? This will be GENIUS!

After Postal I'm game to see this.
It was nice to see a comedy that truly was politically incorrect.
