They are now back to produce an Evil Dead for today’s audience that’s high on the horror, gore, plot twists, and more from a screenplay written by Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues with Diablo Cody. Executive producers are J.R. Young, Nathan Kahane, Joseph Drake, and Peter Schlessel.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

PLEASE… I don’t want to suffer through remakes anymore! Here’s hoping either THIS or “Carrie” turn out.. but still, trailer looks pretty cool.

  • nazo

It’s a hell of a trailer. All that means is that it’s a hell of a trailer. But still..

  • AngryChairr

I understand it was done to allow for a greater contrast in color when the icky stuff starts happening, the almost orange-looking blood in the trailer as an example, but does everything horror movie today have to have a grimy, muted color palette? Can’t someone return to frigging technicolor? I want saturated hues, not browns and greys dominating everything. With the exception of the set design, which at least has some intriguingly dream-like expressionist influence for the forest scenes, does everything have to look so…blah?

  • Terminal

It looks fine, but the plot is mainly about friends taking their ex drug user pal away for the weekend. I REALLY hope it doesn’t end with everything being one big detox delusion in which the police arrive on the scene to see the friend has massacred everyone, is one big loon, and we have an ambiguous “Did it happen or didn’t it?” ending.

    • MonsterMash

      Wow. That would really suck.

  • MonsterMash

I refuse to watch anything on this fucking thing until after I see the movie. I’d appriciate it if those who watch the videos, especially interviews, could say something about weather or not there are spoilers in them. I watched a few TCM3D interviews a little bit ago and stopped them before they could go into any more spoilers.

  • LSD Zombie

I’m starting to have AVP:R flashbacks. Remember when they shot their entire load in that one red-band trailer? Fool me once, shame on you…….fool me twice……..Can’t get fooled again!

    • MonsterMash

      Haha great reference. ‘murica!

  • Rottenjesus

Man, that totally looks like a bloodsoaked pile of shit. I’ll wait for it to hit cable in about six months.

    It’s 2013 people…FUCK. REMAKES.

  • jkincer

Cautiously building some hope that this will be good. I just keep telling myself TRUST IN BRUCE, TRUST IN BRUCE.

  • Sirand

I’m as anti-remake as it gets…but HOLY SHIT!!!

  • kiddcapone

I…I……I’ve…..been fooled so many fucking times with trailers….

I can’t resist, it looks good, so now I’m officially building up lofty expectations….yet somehow I know it might not end well for my mental mindstate…

  • quegebo27

    Totally there!
Was pissed at the notion of them remaking the Evil Dead. But really like the look I am seeing from the trailer. That and the thankfully didn’t puss out one the gore!
