Hellraiser: Revelations - Your First Look at the New Pinhead

It's hard to imagine anyone but the great Doug Bradley in the make-up as the iconic Pinhead, but like it or not, it is happening. Replacing Bradley is actor Stephan Smith Collins, and we've got your first look at him in character.

STYD scored the first images (click the link to see the other) from the flick which you can see below. Shock indicates that they're not sure if this is Pseudo Pinhead or the master himself, but for our money Stephan Smith Collins still comes through no matter the make-up. Dig on the images below and let us know what you think.

Collins is joined by Devon Sorvari, Steven Brand, Sanny Van Heteren, Tracey Fairaway, Daniel Buran, Nick Eversman, and Jay Gillespie, who will star as "Nico/Pseudo-Pinhead". Director Victor Garcia (Mirrors 2) is directing from Gary J. Tunnicliffe's script.

It's strange seeing "Pinhead," but not Bradley underneath. Even without Bradley in the role, I've got the same expectations for this one as I've had for the last several, which is none...

The first picture is ok - but in that second picture wow. That guy does have a large noggin. Kinda looks like a bad Pinhead action figure.

I'm just happy that the pins are pins and not railroad spikes like in that one piece of artwork that was floating around there a while back when it was a remake.

He looks like the lead singer of some local goth band.

Fail. Complete and utter fail. He looks silly in that makeup. Man, is this going to be a painful viewing experience when this shit comes out.

They should have gone just slightly different. Use a little imagination, guys!

Needless to say, it's a little weird to see someone else in the makeup. But at least with this being a sequel, the character looks pretty much the same. I imagine it'll be more weird/jarring in live action though.

What the fuck? The character is Pinhead, not conehead.

I really don't know. What made Bradley so good was the voice, the intonation.

moderator Totally agree. If Pinhead

Totally agree. If Pinhead doesn't have that slightly British accent it'll be even weirder.

One of the attributes that caused the new Freddy in the remake to fail (among several,ok many, many others) was the voice. Nothing will ever come close to the chill we received when we first heard Freddy (Englund). Same goes for this Shithead,I mean Pinhead vs. the original.

I have to return some video tapes.
