Robert Englund to Appear in Chuck's Halloween Episode
There are horror icons, and then there are horror icons like Robert Englund. Which is no doubt why NBC's "Chuck" has been courting him to appear in their 2010 Halloween episode. According to EW's The Ausiello Files, they've been successful.
Here's the full skinny: The NBC spyomedy "Chuck" has tapped the original Freddy Krueger — a.k.a. Robert Englund — to guest-star in next month’s Halloween episode. Englund will play Dr. Stanley Wheelwright, an evil scientist who can make your waking life a nightmare. He’ll appear in this season’s sixth episode, titled “Chuck Versus Aisle of Terror.”
Englund joins several other genre actors who will be guesting on the show this season including Linda Hamilton, Eric Roberts, Lou Ferrigno, and Dolph Lundgren.
I've actually never watched the show, but that storyline sure sounds intriguing. Any "Chuck" fans want to chime in with comments below?

In Blockbusters throughout the country right now, you'll find the latest film from Dario Argento, Giallo, kicking around on rental shelves; but in just a couple of weeks it will be available for purchase and you'll be able to decide for yourselves if it's as bad as everyone says it is.

If you've never watched the show, you're missing out, big time. It's a clever, funny, well-written, and character-driven show. The cast has great chemistry, and it's always a lot of fun. It's one of my most anticipated premieres each season (though The Walking Dead has taken the top spot by storm this year). Season 3 was a bit disappointing for a while, but it really ramped up and got awesome by the end.
The plotline for the Halloween episode sounds a bit out of character for the show, but then, so are a lot of Halloween episodes. In any case, I'll be cheering the first time Englund appears on screen, and my wife will be wondering who the hell the big deal is.
