More Casting News - Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's Intruders
Some more casting news coming in today for director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's latest supernatural thriller, Intruders, for Universal, and we've got the scoop on who'll be facing off with the big spooky bads.
According to Screen Daily Carice Van Houten (pictured right; Black Death, Repo Men), Pilar López de Ayala, Ella Purnell, Izan Corchero and Kerry Fox have joined the cast of the English-language horror-thriller which is top-lined by the previously announced Clive Owen and European star Daniel Brühl (Pvt. Zoller from Inglourious Basterds).
Based on a script by Jaime Marques and Nico Casariego, the story centers on an 11-year-old girl who is forced to confront childhood demons. Shooting began today and is scheduled to take place for 12 weeks in the UK and Spain (Madrid).
Not much else is known about Intruders other than that Enrique López Lavigne, who also worked with Fresnadillo on his 28 Weeks Later and Intacto, is producing. As more news comes in, you can be sure we'll pass it on.
