Neil Marshall Offers Update on Burst 3D
It's been a while since last we heard anything regarding Neil Marshall's next movie Burst, which will be coming at us in 3D courtesy of producer Sam Raimi under his Ghost House banner. That, however, is about to change.
Bloody Disgusting caught up with Marshall as he was doing press for his newest film Centurion, and the director has brought everyone up-to-speed on the film's progress ...
"[We don't have a] shoot date [or a] release date yet," Marshall tells BD. "Raimi's producing, I'm directing. We have a writer on board who's working on the script. Fingers crossed we'll get to do that sometime soon. It's definitely going to be bloodthirsty, and I'm going to do as much practical as I can and see what we can do as far as the 3D element's concerned. We'll have to throw some stuff at the screen, [but] we've got to be really careful and selective about what we're going to throw at the audience."
Bring it on, brother!
Penned by Gary Dauberman, the flick follows a young woman running from her troubles who finds herself stranded at a lodge with a group of strangers. One after another, they inexplicably begin to burst into pieces. Shock quickly descends into paranoia as nobody knows whom to trust. And as the mystery unravels, the survivors realize that what's causing this unstoppable phenomenon is bigger and more disturbing than anyone could have ever imagined.
