New Teaser Poster: Hatchet II

Making its debut at this weekend's Creation Weekend of Horrors is the latest teaser poster for Adam Green's Hatchet II. Bummed that you won't be there to see it? No worries, dear reader, we have it here for you right now!

The upcoming sequel for Dark Sky Films focuses on Marybeth as she escapes from the clutches of Victor Crowley, learns the truth about his curse, and heads back into the haunted New Orleans swamp to seek revenge for her family and kill Victor Crowley once and for all.

Hatchet II's cast includes Danielle Harris, Tony Todd, R.A. Mihailoff, AJ Bowen, Tom Holland, Kathryn Fiore, Parry Shen, Rileah Vanderbilt, Ed Ackerman, Rick McCallum, Colton Dunn, David Foy, Nick Principe, Alexis Peters, and Kane Hodder as Victor Crowley.

If you are planning on making it out to the event, keep in mind that on Saturday, 5/22, from 11 am-12 noon, Dark Sky will be setting up a "swamp" area at their booth where director Adam Green will be on hand to meet and greet fans. Even cooler everyone on hand will have a chance to take a "photo in the swamp" with Adam, which will then be printed and handed to the fans onsite.

Then after that you can go and dig on the official Hatchet II panel, which I'll be moderating, that will feature Kane Hodder, Tony Todd, Danielle Harris, Tom Holland, R.A. Mihailoff, AJ Bowen, Rileah Vanderbilt, Parry Shen, and of course Adam Green. The panel is set to start at 1:00 pm, and fans will receive a Hatchet II poster, which can be autographed by the cast FREE of charge.

Be there to fly your freak flag and hold your hatchet high!

General admission tickets are available in advance through WeekendOfHorrors.net or at the door for $20 on Friday and $25 each on Saturday and Sunday. I'm looking at this poster using the 3D glasses we got in our copy of "The Polar Express", and it just looks green in one eye, and red in the other...

This is the best teaser poster ever!

Look at the DC buzz it has generated!

I'm going to tattoo the poster all over the ass of a hot stripper!

Okay, maybe not.

But I'm still looking forward to Hatchet 2. Green has a passion for what he does.

So does Rob Zombie... and look how that turned out.

Even Spiral was interesting.

Yeah, these are pretty boring posters. If I hadn't seen and loved the first movie, I probably wouldn't be interested in this one. Just saying.

Either way, I can't fucking WAIT for this movie to come out.

I gotta agree with Terminal, a teaser poster should be creative as that's the first image of the film many people see. It should give a firm grasp of genre, tone, place, and all that information in only a few images. This...doesn't.

Personally I'm not a fan of Hatchet, found it fairly dull but I'm willing to give this a chance.

That's it? Two hatchets side by side? He's making the "Scream 4" poster look brilliant.

Agreed. This is nothing new. That same image has been circulating for, what, a year now? Plus, it's no different than poster for the first movie accept there are...gasp...TWO hatchets. Time to step it up on the poster creativity.

Still, I'm pretty excited for the movie. I didn't think the first one quite lived up to the hype, but it was a good slasher, and I am interested to see where Green goes with it.

I'm just pointing out all you do is crap on 90% of the stuff posted on DC. Here's the perfecvt opportunity for you to prove that you're not just full of shit.

Submitted by Rottenjesus on Fri, 05/21/2010 - 5:43pm.
Terminal's picture

Okay Rottenjesus, you want to tussle, let's tussle. Let's get nuts. Are you a DC stock holder? You know Adam Green? Are you a producer of Hatchet 2? Do you want my attention? What, exactly?

I'm just pointing out that 90 percent of the people who usually say "Stop talking bad about this movie! Boo!" are usually people in close ties with the people in the movie, so I'm just curious.

Hey, if you don't like what I have to say you DON'T have to read it, clear and simple idea, no? You're smart enough to realize the concept of free will, right? Should I draw something for you?

What's hilarious is you've yet to explain why this teaser poster is not lame. Two hatchets side by side, ooh! Brilliance! Enticing!

Nothing wrong with having free will and all but when you demonstrate a clear case of griping about nothing so you have something to be snide about. It's a bloody teaser poster and you're griping about it not being brilliant or enticing.

Which, oddly enough, is the category your comments have been falling into lately.

You're nothing but a bitch in a browncoat.

Personally, where I myself start to become amused, and I mean like a virgin tickling my ball sack at a drive-in amused,is scrolling through a thread and reading/seeing someone "griping" ABOUT someone "griping". LOL
I've seen this several times (I'm not picking on you personally I just find the act itself amusing) in the last week. People posting a complaint about people with complaints.

Actually, what amuses me most is seeing overweight, bespectacled, virginal internet dweebs adopting hilarious faux tough guy personas and saying posturing things like "You want to tussle, let's tussle. Let's get nuts."

That's so embarrassingly sad that it's almost funny. The only thing people like you "get nuts" on are jelly donuts. The only tussling you get involved with is self-abuse while watching online porn.

I agree with Rottenjesus. Do the DC readers and favor and put a cork in it for a change. No one gives a shit about your poorly formed opinions. No one cares to read your millionth post about how you hate Wes Craven or how Adam Green is overrated. We get it. You state it over and over and over again in a predictable and often grammatically poor fashion. The fact is that you're an annoying internet loudmouth who deserves to be told to shut up. You're a Chatty Cathy doll with a broken string.

Don't you have your own shitty website to look after? I have to admit, I've seen your site, and as much as you give DC shit on their reviews and stories, at least they can write coherently. Those reviews on your site are some of the worst on the net. You take movies seriously? Yeah, right. You don't even take the English language seriously.

You're so wrong, it's a black coat with white trim, son.

And speaking about griping about nothing: Did you hear the one about the web user who started crying because another web user he never met before made a passing criticism about a crappy poster for an upcoming horror movie?

That's the definition of griping for nothing.

Congrats, the fans of DC will pat you on the back for fighting big bad Terminal, and you can sign up to pucker up when people bend over! While I'll just have my individual opinion without a sign of sycophancy. Huzzah!

Ha! No one reading thinks of you as "big bad Terminal." Nope. Most think of you as annoying, whiny Terminal. Or mouthy, barely literate Terminal. Deal with it. Judging by the tone of your posts, you've been dealing with it for most of your life in the read world. Sad.

DeathProof I love the shit out of you. I'm sad it took you this long to respond back to my posts about Hatchet 2, and I'm sad you likely spent a week doing research about me just to have a good come back, but hey I can deal with that. But I wonder who be DeathProof? Hmmmm....

A DC user who signed up for a new account, a friend of the production staff of Hatchet 2, or perhaps a friend of Rotten Jesus. Curiouser and curiouser...

Damn you're cool!

Can you add me to your facebook?

A week to research you? Nah. I only needed about two seconds to determine that you write like a guy who failed the English portion of the SAT. I would've responded to your absurd comments earlier, but I only check out the DC site every few days.

And there's no need for us to be Facebook friends, since I really have no desire to see the inevitable photos of a fat, pasty troll who clearly never bothered with higher education and concocts conspiracy theories about who other posters are. Did you ever stop to think that some people just don't like you and don't want to hear you repeating the same things on every DC story? Did you ever stop to think that some people just consider you to be an idiot? I'm sure you have, and probably much more often in real life. After all, that explains your hilariously failed attempt at an online tough guy persona... you're obviously trying to make up for insecurities.
