If you’re a fan of Terrance Zdunich’s The Molting comic series and have been waiting for the follow-up to the first six issues, we have good news: Chapter 7, entitled “Supernatural Aid”, will be finally be available on Tuesday, October 2nd!
The Molting is an independent comic book series by author and illustrator Terrance Zdunich (Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Devil’s Carnival), created with the help of letterer Oceano Ransford and colorists Brian Johnson and Molly Rodman. Named “Best Horror Series 2010” (Comic Related), The Molting is a portrait of the Pryzkinds, a dysfunctional American family, in the early ’90s. Set against a decaying urban landscape in Anaheim, California, the so-called “Happiest Place on Earth”, the story traverses human history—from Upper Paleolithic hunting parties to Southern Gothic grotesqueries—to explore the family’s roots, secrets, and unconventional family bonds.
In “Supernatural Aid” winter’s religious holiday season provokes the Pryzkind family to contemplate whether they are the masters of their own destiny or being guided by invisible forces.
Check out the cover art and more from “Supernatural Aid” below. Zdunich is self-distributing The Molting‘s 12-chapter series, and currently issues are on sale exclusively via TerranceZdunich.com and The Molting’s official site.
