Coming This Fall ... More Holiday Terror on ThanXgiving

While it's not even summertime yet, there are already a couple of cool things to look forward to during the months leading up to winter. One of them is a new indie flick that isn't afraid to get more than just a little bit messy.

ThanXgiving (2010) is a reboot of the Bobby Ray Akers, Jr. 2006 film of the same name, which includes never before seen footage and all new material. The flick stars Ari Lehman (Jason - Friday the 13th), Suki Peters, Scarlet Salem, our brother in arms Joe Knetter, Sandra D. Thomas, and Cody Matthew Blymire. Look for it on DVD October 5th!

Special features include an in-depth retrospective with the cast exploring the real hauntings on which the film was based and the long journey towards completing the movie.

"ThanXgiving was cursed from the beginning; we found out after filming that the shooting location was haunted," says Akers. "Six months before filming began, someone took their life with a gun where we shot the beach scene. Shooting was halted by the unexpected appearance of hornets pouring out from the shack, when it was carefully examined before shooting. It rained every day, turning the ground into a mud slide. An unseen presence seemed to cloud over the entire production into post."

Dig on the plot crunch and NOT SAFE FOR WORK trailer below.

Synopsis
A group of film students travel deep into the woods to make a movie, thinking they've found the perfect location in the form of an abandoned campground. But as the film starts rolling, they discover that all is not what it appears to be.

Now that I've seen the trailer I know that when they say 'suck it bitch' they mean anyone silly enough to watch something so damn incompetent it smacks of a music video director.
