Script Review: The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking
Just about everyone with a pulse agrees Pitch Black was pretty damned badass, but its sequel, The Chronicles of Riddick? Not so much. The main reason was because most of the first film's flavor was left at the door in order to get the flick a more friendly PG-13 rating. After checking out the very first script review, we don't think we'll be worrying about a repeat of that scenario.
Over on Coming Attractions the site has put up said script review, saying that it is a "hard R script -- it's full of death action and peppered with nasty, filthy language." Hear that, my friends? That's the sounds of angels singing.
The new script for the newly dubbed The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking was written by director David Twohy and centers on Riddick -- the most wanted man in the galaxy -- left for dead on a barren alien planet, dealing with "trisons" (three-legged bisons), "mud demons", and two squads of bounty hunters.
