Joss Whedon's The Cabin in the Woods to Feature Creatures?
If there's one film that's been tightly kept under wraps, it's "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon's seemingly forever upcoming The Cabin in the Woods, at least in terms of plot points. But as you know, nothing stays quiet forever!
SciFi Wire reports that director Drew Goddard's feature will be riddled with monsters according to co-star Amy Acker. "There's a lot of scary monsters," Acker said in a group interview while promoting the upcoming ABC TV series "Happy Town". "It's a scary movie."
Finally! Something! Who knows why everyone is being so tight-lipped about this flick? If it's to keep us intrigued -- Point, Team Whedon! Look for The Cabin in the Woods in theaters January 14, 2011 in, of course, 3D.

I like Whedon well enough, but sometimes all the Whedon wanking everywhere makes me want to stake somebody.

Whedon can really knock them out of the park when he's on the ball. Often his scripts are great.
I'm going to hope for a Serenity level of grandeur here (but I'll settle for half that).

The poster is okay, I'm just not sure what the joke is supposed to be. Is it in context with the movie or just a gag?

Maybe it's a gag, because people who have sex in horror films tend to get killed?

So Whedon is pointing something out that was pointed out by Wes Craven who pretended to point that out before a thousand people pointed that out in the eighties?
My confidence has suddenly waned.

That poster is great and that alone has me wanting to watch it. I don't know about Whedon though. Firefly and Serenity are incredible. My favorite TV show ever. Other than that though I go from unimpressed to downright disaster

I'd also add "Alien Resurrection" to my list of 'impressive Whedon moments'!
