A Nightmare on Elm Street Promos Flood MTV

And so the marketing blitz behind the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street begins. Looks like these guys are spending a hefty chunk of change - presumably in an attempt to replicate the Friday the 13th remake's opening weekend numbers. Will you be duped again? Check out these teasers and make up your own mind.

The following videos were posted to Vimeo by Click 3X, a promotional agency that's hoping to get the word out on this update of a horror classic.

The Samuel Bayer directed remake stars Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Clancy Brown, and Connie Britton and focuses on a serial child molester murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burnt face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams.

It's almost enough to make me nostalgic for the old days of Elm Street mania, but I'm just not feeling this one. Not in the trailer, and not in these promos. Time will tell on April 30th.

@ jkincer - The capacity for a turd to be polished depends entirely on substance... Obviously one cannot polish the near-liquid variety, but the more substantial and 'together' a turd is, the better the chance of getting it to shine. Hope that helps!

To be honest, I don't think anyone was duped by the F13 movie. It wasn't any better or worse than any of the other films in the series. Outside of 2, which set up the Jason character, they're all pretty bad.

This on the other hand looks awful. I'll take Freddy's Dead over this...

Are any of these scenes new? It just looks like the trailer was cut up into three pieces.

You can't polish a turd no matter how you slice it.
