Zack Snyder to Deliver His Sucker Punch in 3D

It looks as if the huge success of James Cameron's Avatar has officially turned the prospect of a 3D film from gimmick and fad to quickly becoming the standard. Every time we turn around, another flick is coming at us in the third dimension.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch will be the latest film jumping off the screen at us when it hits theatres on March 25th, 2011.

Sucker Punch centers on a girl who's institutionalized by her stepfather and retreats into an alternative reality. Emily Browning plays the girl; Carla Gugino, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Scott Glenn, Oscar Isaac, and Abbie Cornish are also on board. Zack and Deborah Snyder are producing Sucker Punch through their Cruel & Unusual banner. He's directing from a script he co-wrote with Steven Shibuya.
