Michael Eklund Next to Become Part of The Hive

A new actor is buzzing around the latest flick from Brad Anderson, The Hive! Variety reports that Michael Eklund (The Day, The Divide) is set to co-star with Halle Berry in the project that’s shooting now in Los Angeles. No word on whom he’ll be playing, but stay tuned.

The Hive also stars Justina Machado, Abigail Breslin, Tara Platt, Evie Thompson, David Otunga, and Michael Linstroth. WWE recently came aboard to co-finance and produce alongside Troika Pictures.

Set against the backdrop of a 911 call center, the fast-paced suspense flick finds Berry playing a 911 emergency operator who must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl from a disturbed killer. Rich D’Ovidio wrote the script, which is based on an original story by Nicole D’Ovidio, Jon Bokencamp, and the scribe.
