3D Telling of The Turn of the Screw On Its Way

Out of Italy comes a new telling of Henry James' classic ghost tale, The Turn of the Screw, and it seems as if our Italian horror loving pisans are checking out our yankee trends because it's coming in -- of course -- 3D!

According to Variety "Producer Vito Matassino, a former UIP and Filmauro exec, recently announced plans for stereoscopic cameras to start rolling by this summer on an English-language adaptation of the classic Henry James ghost novella "The Turn of the Screw" touted as Italy's first new generation 3D feature, to be helmed by Italo horror helmer Marcello Avallone ("Specters," "The Last Cut") and produced by his new Europictures shingle. Lilliwood will be handling the stereoscopy side of the Italo 3D "Turn of the Screw" redo."

We did a little digging and found a promo trailer for you guys to check out. Dig on it below and look for more soon! The Turn of the Screw marks Italy's first 3D film.

I'm also really tired of the 3D popularity. Does EVERYTHING really need to be 3D? It's irritating.

Pffft!

There's already been two exceptional versions of this tale. THE INNOCENTS and THE OTHERS.

Please go away and die, any hack that want to attach the idiotic 3D trend to this.

This 3D fascination is getting pretty ri-goddamn-diculous isn't it? There's nothing about this story that would make anyone think "3D", but they'll slap the fad on anything I guess.
Just go watch The Innocents if you want a movie adaptation. I guarantee it's better than this one.
