True Blood Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray Specs
With True Blood Season Two set to hit DVD and Blu-ray on May 25th, we knew it wouldn't be long before HBO Home Entertainment let loose with what we can expect in the way of special features on the discs. There are a few differences between the two versions, but whatever level your tech is, you're sure to be pretty happy.
Streeting just weeks before the third highly-anticipated season premiere, the five-disc DVD and Blu-ray sets include all 12 episodes from the second season, along with a wealth of exciting bonus materials as follows:
Filled with engaging stories, characters, and themes, the extras allow fans, as well as new viewers, to further immerse themselves in this captivating world. The Standard Definition version includes two special features: “Fellowship of the Sun: Reflections of Light,” which gives “rules to live by” from leaders Steve and Sarah Newlin, and “The Vampire Report: Special Edition,” highlighting the year’s biggest stories in vampire news, politics, and pop culture, along with audio commentaries with cast and crew including Ball, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgård, Michelle Forbes, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, and more.
The Blu-ray disc is presented in HD 1080p video and DTS-HD master audio. It contains all the bonus materials found on the SD version along with True Blood Enhanced Viewing on all 12 episodes. Enhanced Viewing provides an amplified picture in picture experience with original, interactive content that extends the fiction of the series. With triple the content found on the Season One BD, Season Two offers “Character Perspectives” – straight from the mouths of Hoyt, Pam, Karl, and Steve Newlin; “Flashback/Flash Forward” – allowing the viewer to relive pivotal moments and revealing the significance of certain scenes; “Pro/Anti- Vampire Feeds” – news updates and information from the American Vampire League and the Light of Day organization that helps fans decide which camp they support; and “Hints/FYI” – featuring trivia facts, show hints and clues. Additionally, viewers will also be able to skip from bonus event to bonus event as they watch an episode.
