Dark Sky's Innkeepers Next Project for Ti West
What a difference a week makes. On Monday we put up an interview with director Ti West in which it sounded like The Haunting in Georgia would be his next project, but today came the news that he's been tapped to helm a haunted hotel film entitled Innkeepers.
Variety reports that Innkeepers, which is about the last two staffers of a haunted hotel that's going out of business, is being financed and produced by MPI Media Group's Dark Sky Films along with Larry Fessenden's Glass Eye Pix. Derek Curl, Fessenden, and Peter Phok produce. The deal was concluded at Sundance this week between West and MPI's Executive VP Greg Newman.
West, who intends for Innkeepers to be "truly terrifying", will begin shooting this spring in Connecticut. We're not sure where that leaves Gold Circle's Haunting as Variety says West "had been attached" to it, but we'll do some digging and see what we can find out.
In the meantime keep it here for more on Innkeepers as it comes.
