UPDATED: Cast of the Strause Brothers' Skyline Expands by Two

Skyline, the next feature to be directed by brothers Colin and Greg Strause, has added another new cast member: Crystal Reed, who will also be seen in MTV's upcoming "Teen Wolf" reboot.

Per Variety Reed joins the previously announced Kate Mara, Eric Balfour, and Laz Alonso on the project.

UPDATE: Per STYD, David Zayas, better known as Dexter's Angel Batista, has also signed on and will play a character named "Oliver".

Skyline goes into production in early February; here's the basic plot outline:

"After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherwordly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them."

Light! They said the word "light"! Maybe there's hope for this one yet.
