Exclusive: New Trailer Debut and Pics from Dead Tone

On February 9th Screen Media Films is releasing writer/director Deon Taylor’s latest horror flick Dead Tone, which enjoyed a successful limited theatrical run earlier this year, onto DVD. Dead Tone is part of Taylor’s Nite Tales series and is his first full-length horror title under the banner.

While Dread Central was on the set of Taylor’s Dark Christmas (read about it here) in December, we had a chance to sit down with Taylor and ask him about Dead Tone, as well as another upcoming horror film he has for 2010, Chain Letter.

Chain Letter stars Nikki Reed, Keith David, Bai Ling, Brad Dourif, Betsy Russell, and Noah Segan and should be out in March 2010.

For now, Dread Central is giving you guys an exclusive look at the Dead Tone trailer, along with some behind-the-scenes pictures and a video interview clip with Taylor from the set of Dark Christmas.

Dead Tone stars Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), Jud Tylor (Charlie Wilson's War, "That 70s Show"), Antwon Tanner ("One Tree Hill"), and Brian Hooks (Fools Gold). It follows a group of college students whose prank phone calls accidentally target the wrong person. A madman traces their call and turns the night of fun and games into a horrifying game of survival.

So is this basically a play on one of William Castles films? PLus the killer looks like a mix of well every slasher villain in the past ten years or more. But guess what.. I'll give it a chance. Love me some slasher films
