San Diego Comic-Con 2012: Free Dethklok Concert Tonight On The USS Midway Battleship In San Diego, CA

If you’re in San Diego for the Comic-Con this weekend and you want to see a free concert, you’re in luck. Hell, if you’re in San Diego at all and you want to see a free concert, you’re in luck too! The only people who lose are schlubs like myself who are 3000 miles away.

Adult Swim will host a huge fan concert event on Friday, July 13th, on the USS Midway in San Diego, CA with a special performance by Dethklok, the world’s most brutal animated death metal band, from the show Metalocalypse. The concert is free and fans can register to receive tickets by visiting AdultSwimPresents.com or playing the Cat Grab game at the Adult Swim booth (#3949) during Comic Con for a chance to win a ‘Golden Ticket’ to the concert.

The show marks the first live performance for Dethklok in 2012 and comes in advance of the band’s upcoming North American tour co-headlining with Lamb of God and special guests Gojira which will begin on August 1st, in Seattle, WA. Lucky fans attending the special Comic-Con concert will enjoy new animation and new songs from Dethklok’s upcoming album. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the party will keep rocking after Dethklok with another special guest performance.
