Saw VI DVD and Blu-ray Art and Details

Saw VI stands as one of the biggest surprises of the year for us here at Dread Central. We all thought it was Game Over after the abysmally ridiculous Part V, but director Kevin Gruetert and his team had other plans. The flick is getting ready to hit DVD and Blu-ray and we've got your details just waiting for ya!

The next bone shattering installment of one of the most popular horror film franchises in history comes to DVD and Blu-ray Disc this January with the release of Saw VI. The film will be available in three different versions – an R-rated Theatrical Full Screen Edition, an Unrated Director’s cut Widescreen Edition and an Unrated Director’s cut Blu-ray Disc – and as a digital download. All three versions are a “2-Movie Set” that includes the first original Saw feature film so viewers can see “where it all began.” All three versions also contain fabulously frightening bonus materials including three featurettes that take a look at Jigsaw, the traps and an exclusive look at the Halloween Horror Nights Saw Maze plus music videos. In addition, the unrated DVD and Blu-ray Disc feature two audio commentaries with the executive producers and the screenwriters of the film.

At the risk of having my ass handed to me for admitting this, I actually thought Saw VI was a better time at the movies than it's dominant competitor Paranormal Activity.

I realize that the common wisdom leans towards heralding PA as a landmark film in it's creepiness and ability to scare on such a low budget - and I did in fact enjoy the film a lot - but in all honestly, I had much more fun watching Saw VI.

I liked it. I liked the directing.

I CANNOT BELIEVE they are going back to the guy from 5, Cannot Believe it!!!

Gruetert nailed it and should be allowed to finish out the series, VI was just so well directed.

I thought Saw VI was okay, but I agree they should let Kevin Greutert continue directing; Hackl's Saw V was utter shit and it makes no sense. That being said, I think V is a tad less annoying than IV
