Trailer of the Mountain Witch

One of these years I have to attend the American Film Market. The great thing about AFM is that it more or less gives me a head's up on the movies I will more than likely be reviewing in the coming year. For example, Legend of the Mountain Witch, a film that looks like a melding of Blair Witch and The Final Terror, a film I can almost guarantee I will be the one at Dread Central reviewing when it arrives on DVD.

Written and directed by Alex Ryan (writer/producer of another upcoming low budget terror called The Queen of Screams), Legend of the Mountain Witch stars character actors Charles Cyphers, Eileen Dietz (Pazuzu's Face in The Exorcist), and Eugene Clark ("Big Daddy" in Land of the Dead) in this low budget shocker about a film crew seeking to uncover the truth about a legendary witch. They go to the mountains to see if she is a legend or if she's just a woman killing people she doesn't like. Either way, a bunch of people wind up dead.

The film is currently in post-production and being shopped around at AFM. Look below for the promo trailer to Legend of the Mountain Witch and place your bets on whether or not it will be Lionsgate, Maverick Entertainment, or MTI that will release the film on DVD.
