Exclusive: New Won Ton Baby Behind-the-Scenes Stills
Just got another update on the progress of one of the more ... well ... batshit nuts looking films we've been covering lately from the director himself, James Morgart. The film in question is called simply Won Ton Baby, and if you aren't aware of this little crazed gem yet, then, brother, you're in for one hell of a trip!
"Post-production is finally drawing to a close!" Morgart tells Dread. "The baby now not only uses its umbilical cord to molest, mutilate, strangle, and devour its victims ... it is now a breathing, blinking, sneering little ball of hell."
Won Ton Baby will be making its official European premiere at Gorezone Magazine's Weekend of Horror (October 31st to November 1st), being co-hosted by Emily Booth and the producer/star Suzi Lorraine.
Morgart and company have also secured a promotional table at the 2009 New York City Horror Film Festival (November 18th to 22nd). Keep tabs on all things Won Ton Baby related by hitting that link to their official site.
For those who haven't heard of the film yet, it stars horror vets Debbie Rochon, Lou Martini, Jr. (most notable for his role as Anthony Infante on "The Sopranos"), Suzi Lorraine (who also co-wrote the story and will be teaming up with Debbie again along with Sybil Danning in The Last Revenants), NYC stand-up comic & Upright Citizens Brigade alumni Harry Terjanian, and Gunnar Hansen.
"Nearly thirty years ago former brothel owner Rachel "Madam" Won Ton was involved in the most wild and drug-filled night of her life. The drug-induced incident leaves the Madam pregnant, and with no desire to let the child go, she instead decides to switch careers.
Today, despite having converted her brothel into a fully functioning Chinese restaurant, the Won Ton family faces the animosity and scorn of outsiders. However, social scorn is the least of Madam Won Ton's concerns as the mother of two is faced with a greater challenge: her adult daughter has a cannibalistic parasitic twin growing in her belly.
When the fetus is removed, it's not only alive but its mutated umbilical cord leads the way from initially innocent mischievous behavior to what soon becomes a horrific, gory nightmare. Murdering and eating its victims ultimately leads to a showdown with the Won Tons and their grotesque creation. But can the Madam protect her family from this baby? Or is it too late? Have their futures been sealed thanks to the release of Won Ton Baby!"
Enough with the talk! On to the stills below, which feature blood gore and some familiar faces! Look for the trailer right here soon!
