Exclusive Boggy Creek Remake Casting News
A few days ago Foy clued us in to the proposed remake of 1972's The Legend of Boggy Creek. At that time no details were available, but today a source close to the production dropped us a line with the names of not only the director but also several key cast members.
To be called simply Boggy Creek, the redux stars Damon Lipari (of the upcoming Wrong Side of Town) as Dave, Jennifer Sipes (Oliver Stone's W), Melissa Carnell, Frederick Dos, Texas Battle, and Julin (pictured, of the upcoming Sweatshop and Spirit Camp) as Kay. It is being directed by Brian T. Jaynes, who just wrapped on the urban thriller Hittin' the Bricks with Texas Battle and Toni Trucks.
Principal photography begins next month in Texas.
Keep it here for more on Boggy Creek at it comes.

This sounds less like a remake and more like a space-taker on the video shelf.
