Get The Flock Outta Here!
Unless you've been living under a rock and don't know any better, you should be aware that many scientists have concluded that birds are the direct descendants of dinosaurs. Let's just be thankful that they have decreased in size dramatically. Can you imagine a Pterodactyl shitting on your car? YIKES!
But what if these winged beasts didn't get smaller? What if a flock of them took to the skies to cause mayhem? That's a scary prospect. THR reports tonight that producers Don Murphy and John Wells have teamed up to option The Flock, a novel by James Robert Smith. Murphy is producing with Angryfilms partner Susan Montford while Wells will produce with his company's president, Claire Polstein.
The Flock outlines the story of a group of highly intelligent giant prehistoric birds discovered in the Florida Everglades who are intent on protecting their ancient home when faced with encroachment by theme park developers.
Sound interesting? Can't wait for the movie? It may be a while as the team are now looking for writers to adapt the tale. Pre-order the book below, and look for more as it comes!

Though zombie films are still coming out at an incredible pace, the good ones have been few and far between. Production company Circle of Confusion is setting out to deliver the goods with their new undead opus Gatekeeper, and judging from their odd casting, they could very well be on the right track!

I love the idea of there being giant, intelligent prehistoric birds...in Florida, no less...not being discovered until Disney moves into their nesting grounds.
Awesome. And by "awesome", I mean f'n retarded.
