Principal Photography Wraps on Dead of Night
Kevin Munroe’s Dead of Night is one of my most anticipated genre flicks for 2010. Not only are we finally getting a live-action adaptation of the Italian Dylan Dog comic book, but it sounds like the filmmakers have gone out of their way to remain faithful to the source material. Today Hyde Park Entertainment Group and Platinum Studios, Inc., announced that principal photography has wrapped on the project.
Dylan Dog (Brandon Routh) is forced back into his nightmare investigations after he is approached by a woman who claims to have seen her father brutally murdered by a mysterious creature. With his street smarts, his gun, and a set of paranormal weapons, Dylan attempts to restore order both above and below ground.
On the casting of Routh, Kevin Munroe says, "Dylan Dog is a character that brilliantly mixes charisma, affability, and hard-driven principles. I couldn't be happier with Brandon's portrayal - he meshed all of those aspects into a charming action hero, funny as he was ass-kicking. I can't wait to share his work with the world."
No word on a release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
