Happy Birthday To Me Remake To Be 3D

New Happy Birthday To Me Coming in 3DWell, kids, it looks like we have yet another flick to add to the remake pile and, as is occurring more and more these days, it's gonna be in *surprise* 3D!

According to a report from Bloody-Disgusting, the 1981 Canadian slasher that starred Glenn Ford and Melissa Sue Anderson is being eyed for the redux treatment.

If it's been a while since you saw the original HBTM, here's a brief synopsis: A number of teenagers from an elite prep school get into mischievous sexual situations fueled by alcohol and pot smoking. As teens start to disappear, murdered in a variety of violent ways, the film suggests a number of suspects. Is the killer the troubled girl (Anderson) who lost her overbearing, social-climbing mother in a car accident that she survived? Or is it the stern school mistress; the wacky, cool social clown; the social misfit; or none of the above? The film keeps you guessing until the final scene.

Meanwhile, I'm sure we all have the same question in mind: Is there anything that's safe from the remake machine?

I just recently watched Happy Birthday To Me on Saturday and I loved it. It could definitely use some improvements. Unfortunately Todd Farmer probably isn't writing it and there probably aren't any Hollywood writers that know how to improve on the film.

Movies you can bet will be remade: Terror Train, C.H.U.D., Candyman, Sleepaway Camp, The Burning, Anything that Wes Craven made that hasn't already been remade, Poltergeist, etc.
