Ryder Confirms Heathers Sequel In the Works

Last March there was a bit of buzz about an upcoming musical theatre version of the popular Winona Ryder/Christian Slater film Heathers, but what the fans really want is a sequel -- and apparently the stars do, too.

According to Us Magazine, in an interview that will be published in the July issue of Empire, Ryder had this to say about that:

"Whatever you hear, there is a sequel in the works. I swear to God. But for some reason the writer Dan Waters and director Michael Lehman don't want to talk about it. I've been wanting to do a sequel forever. There is a story, and Christian [Slater] has agreed to come back as a kind of Obi-Wan character."

She swears to God and invokes the name of Obi-Wan?!? Why, it must be true! As we hear further details, we'll pass them on.
