Shhh! It's a Secret!
The Movie Reporter, IESB.net, unearthed this interesting nugget – Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to Dark Horse Comics’ The Secret under the exclusive three-year partnership the two companies entered into in early 2008.
Written in 2007 by Dark Horse founder Mike Richardson and award winning artist Jason Alexander, the coming of age story centers on Tommy, who is invited to an exclusive party with the social elite of Franklin High. He attends with hopes of hooking up with the girl of his dreams, Pam, but when a prank goes awry and Pam vanishes, Tommy gets sucked into her disappearance much deeper than he bargained for. The pic is slated to be penned by Scott Milam, who is currently writing Bedlam for RKO Pictures.
Previous Universal and Dark Horse collaborations include Time Cop and the Hellboy series.
